Graduate Checklist

  1. Complete the .
  2. Order your Cap & Gown at  or , 318-473-6420
  3. Register and complete your MFT (Major Field Test) (Only to those that apply) - see Graduate Survey for more information. Contact Testing Services with questions, 318-427-4492.
  4. Check with Accounting to clear any unpaid balances. Diplomas and transcripts are held for those accounts not cleared prior to graduation. Contact the Accounting department at 318-473-6407.
  5. Check with library to make sure you have no outstanding balance or books. Contact the ³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥ at 318-473-6443.
  6. All candidates for graduation are required to take the Graduate Exit Exam. The exam is online and can be accessed from the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6CFJSZ9

Other Items

Graduate Fees

  • $55.00 – Covers the cost of a single diploma, processing, and test fees
  • $20.00 – This fee covers the cost for those getting a dual degree, ex: Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science

Grad Fair

Graduating students can inquire with the LSUA bookstore on the purchase of announcements, cap and gown, class rings, etc. A cap and gown is required in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. The LSUA Bookstore holds a Grad Fair before each commencement ceremony to allow you to order all your particular items.

Diplomas

All diplomas will be mailed directly to the student, please ensure that your mailing address is up to date. 

To update your mailing address, please log into Self-Service from the page, click the "My Profile" tab, and click the "Addresses" menu to change your mailing address.

Diplomas will be mailed out by:

  • Spring - End of June
  • Summer - End of September
  • Fall - Mid February

**Please note if your account has any type of hold, the diploma will not be mailed until that hold is cleared.

Latin Honor Cords

Graduates earning Latin Honor Cords will be given their cords at the graduate check-in area on the day of commencement. Cords will be mailed to graduates who are not able to attend after the ceremony.
