Student
³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥ of Social Sciences (CSS) – Primary Duties of Student Worker
Greet office visitors; direct or assist them to the appropriate faculty or location
Answer telephone calls; assist, transfer, or forward information to the appropriate person
Assist with the promotion of the ³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥ of Social Sciences
Includes college and departmental events, as needed (setting up displays, creating fliers, preparing SWAG, etc.)
Keeping CSS social media sites current; includes use of CANVA for creating
Housekeeping- tidying up, dusting and keeping surfaces clean
End each shift with a tidy office.
Ensuring copy machine is full of paper
Empty paper shredder
Put away office shipments/mail (office supplies and mail)
Place mail in faculty mailboxes
Make delivers to other departments, buildings, and mailroom as needed
Assist with physical and/or email mailouts
Adhere to policies and procedures in Student Worker handbook and training
Etc. (which is a catch all for whatever else may arise for which you are needed
Must be Work Study eligible

LSUA employs different types of personnel on campus, including:
Faculty Members - Members of the academic staff holding rank of instructor or above and equivalent ranks. Faculty may be 9 month or 12 month employees and they may teach and/or do research.
Professional Employees - Administrative officers and professional staff that are generally exempt from the provisions of the State Civil Service System. This category is formerly referred to as Unclassified Employees.
Classified Employees - Employees in positions covered by the provisions of Louisiana State Civil Service System.
Other Academic Employees - Part-time members of the academic staff or full-time members of instructional or research staff below the rank of Instructor. Examples are part-time instructors, teaching or research associates,
library associates, lecturers, etc.
